Alan J. Roddis

Alan James Roddis is a Chairman of Standard Group of Companies, bringing more than 25 years of international experience within the isolator, containment and material handling industry.

Widely recognised as a reliability engineering professional and accomplished business leader, Alan combines strong technical expertise with extensive commercial and operational management experience. His background spans engineering innovation, product development and strategic business leadership, supporting the continued growth and technical direction of the company.

With a specialist understanding of Intellectual Property development, Alan is the Inventor and Co-Inventor of more than 50 patent applications covering technologies including mechanical seals, hydraulic assemblies, seal support systems, bearing protection seals and rotating equipment reliability solutions.

Apprentice trained from the beginning of his engineering career, Alan holds a First Class Degree in Engineering with Business Studies, together with a Masters Diploma in Business Administration. This provides a strong blend of practical engineering knowledge, technical insight and commercial leadership.
